I got this as an email forward. It just really touched me. I'm not usually the type to get teary eyed, but this one got to me. I really liked the message that this man had to share. I am not going to pretend that I really know much about the war and what's going on there, but I must say that we should all listen to the opinions of those that are actually serving there and actually have a first-hand knowledge of what's going on. I find it interesting that everyone I've ever talked to that has served says that we have done, and are still doing, a lot of good, and that our nation is safer now than it was before. That gives me a lot of hope.
Mostly the reason I got so emotional is because I think it can be easy to forget the sacrifices that other American citizens are making for US, while we sit at home and live in our safe little world. I know there are really no words adequate enough, but I would just like to take a moment to thank all those that are serving and sacrificing for our country, and also a huge thank you to the families that are left behind. I kow some people personally who are going through it, or have gone through it. I hope you know how much you are loved. We are all indebted to you. You are truly heroes!!!

Please let me know you got it.
Thanks.
You are so sweet Kathryn. I think that it's easy to take for granted how fortunate we are too. Even though Ben served a year in Iraq I still forget those sacrificing now- when we talk about re-enlistment for Ben I am totally selfish and say no way. Thanks for reminding me how much our men and women in the service do (and their families).
I could get together for lunch next week! Did you go to the Girl's night? How was it?
