4th Anniversary--Vegas Baby!!!

Ryan and I celebrated our 4th anniversary in June. It was on a Thursday night, and Ryan was in class so the day wasn't too exciting--I made Ryan's favorite treat: sugar cookies; and had a wonderful little helper who ate more dough than she cut! Ryan gave me flowers earlier that day. But our 'real' celebration was about a week later--we went to vegas and used our time share at Tahiti Village. It's the first time we've used it, and we had a really good time. My mom and Ryan's mom were kind enough to watch the little munchkin for us so she was in the best hands! We realized the only time we've ever gone on a trip without Cecily was a quick overnighter for our anniversary last year. This one was only two nights, but it felt pretty long! It didn't help that I had been at girl's camp for four days and then only home for two before we left, but I was a mess! I cried for a lot of the drive down, how embarassing!! I for sure had a harder time than she did. Every time we called she was like Hi mom! Ok see ya!! Wasn't even phased. I think we need to try to do something like this more often!

The first day we were there we ate at a buffet, and then saw 'The Proposal'. While we waited for the movie to start we played a little roulette on the machine. We only lost $2.50 and had about an hour of entertainment, so I thought it was a pretty good deal! That's the only gambling I let us do.

The next day we hung out at the pool and lazy river, went shopping, and then saw mystere that night. Our number one goal for the trip was to see a show. We had tried many times to see a show in vegas and it never worked out--one year I had bought tickets for the wrong week (woops), and all the other times ceci was with us and we didn't have anyone to watch her. So we were determined this time. We got tickets (for the right night) and it was awesome!!! Ironically though, it turns out we saw the only show in Vegas that allows little children !! All those times... Oh well, I tell myself she probably wouldn't have sat through it anyway.
Wednesday we had lunch at Cheesecake Factory, a tradition, and stopped on our way out for the third time in two days at our favorite find--yogurtland. So glad they don't have one of those here, or I'd gain 500 pounds and be broke!!!

I was lucky to go with my handsome, fun hubby who I really do love spending time with!!! I look forward to many more years!!

Congrats! That looks like a lot of fun. I love your cute little baby bump. I just look chubby at the moment, but I haven't gained weight so far. Hope to see you soon! We definitely need another girls night.

I am laughing so hard right now! I swear us Stevens kids must have been sugar deprived or something- seriously - look at Ryan's icecream- and funny thing is that could have been any of the siblings! We love CANDY!
