I LOVE this picture--women carry everything on their heads--plus they walk everywhere. Most of them don't have cars. We saw this woman on a long road in the middle of nowhere, I can't imagine how far she had to go. And you wouldn't believe how heavy this bucket was. She took it off her head to sell us some prickly pears. I tried lifting it just to see. I'm telling you, if you haven't already, go to a foreign country in your lifetime!!! It really opens your eyes to how easy we have it.

On a ferry ride at another game park--Sibuya. We spent most of the afternoon here but didn't see much until the last 1/2 hour. We found a herd of elephants and got to watch them play and interact. It was such a treat and a perfect way to end the day.

Dad loved these dung beatles. HUGE!!!

What, you've never pet a full-grown cheetah? Oh I have...no big deal....

Last day with Nani!!! (at least for another two months)

And having some playtime with Opa before we go!!

Spent our last night eating at our favorite restaurant. La petite!

And beginning our 30-hour journey home. I'm gonna try to block this part out of my memory!
But it really was worth the trip as hard as it was with a two-year old. I knew it would be a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and it absolutely was. I will always be happy we went and experienced the things we did. I can't thank my parents enough for their hospitality and giving us the idea in the first place! There really are no words. I hope the pictures give a taste of how incredible it was!!!

You have two readers... Chris and myself! We havent forgot about your blog even though you have! Can't wait to see all the up dates you will be working on.
I would love to go to Africa sometime. Did you eat any Mopante(sp) worms? I remember eating one when Adam got home from his mission and you all dared me to eat one. It was really gross.
Glad you had a wonderful time.
